How to submit Photographs, Articles and Stories

Family Album is a lovely way of sharing your research interests, so please consider lending us one of your favourite photographs. To participate, we require – a “photographic quality” (i.e. Kodak or similar) copy in good condition (i.e. no age spots, tears, etc) sent by post. Please also include a Stamped Addressed Envelope (or IRC from overseas) to enable return of your photograph if it is not published or – a High Resolution copy attached to an email. Our scanning specifications are: Resolution 300dpi – Size 100% – Format jpg (or jpeg) Please name your image file with the submission date (ddmmyy) and your surname e.g. 150112smith.jpg All photographs are carefully looked after and are returned after publication with a copy of the magazine in which they are published.

Your Story is a great way of “advertising” your research interests and may be submitted – by email with the text in the body of your email and High Resolution images attached – by post typed using double-spacing Preference is given to those which include photographs (copies as above) and/or illustrations. If sending by post, please include a Stamped Addressed Envelope (or IRC from overseas) for return of items not published. Copyright of all articles and stories published remains with the author and all photographs are returned together with a complimentary copy of the magazine.
